I purchased the V414 over four months ago specifically for wildfire smoke. This summer when the smoke came you could not smell it in my home. Outside there was a thick haze of smoke inside none. I keep mine in my bedroom and at night turn up on high and the sound does not bother me. At first I thought it wasn’t pushing much air through but it does work wonderfully. I am glad I purchased this model.
I researched many different air purifiers before buying and am very pleased that I selected the Airpura UV614. My wife is very susceptible to mold and can smell it very easily. I purchased this primarily for this reason. Sense we bought the UV614 my wife has not complained about a mold smell. We primarily keep it in our bedroom. There are times we get a musty smell in the basement. When that happens, I move the UV614 to the basement and it clears it up quickly. We also live on a dirt road and have had a lot of smoke in the air from forest fires this summer (2026), the air in our house is cleaner than past years under these conditions. I've owned the UV614 for almost a year (8 1/2 months) and have no complaints and no problem operating it. Also, I am very pleased with the customer support from Airpura. When my unit first arrived it was dented from shipping. Airpura replaced it quickly with no hassle.
I bought the UV 700 (P714+) last October when we moved in to a house with black mold. I was already struggling with mold-related health issues. It helped SO much. I slept with the filter about 20 feet from my bed at night and it kept the air clean and me healthy. We have moved to a new house now and I still sleep next to the filter. It's smokey today because of a fire nearby and it has totally cleared the air of any smokey smell. We have 4 different air filters and this is by far the best one I've ever had (and we have two others that are well known). Highly recommend for anyone with health issues or just want to keep their body healthy.
I'm 62. I have severe asthma, and also emphysema.
I live in Oregon in the middle of one of the wildfire regions, and most summers there is 1 to 3 months with thick smoke. This year, 2026, it's worse than ever.
I've had this unit for 10 years, was recommended by my pulmonologist. I replace filters as needed.
I usually have it on all the time, on low. Now, for the fires, we have it on high 24/7, it's medium loud on high (almost silent on low).
But we keep it in a side room with the door open, so we don't hear it much, and it's still keeping the house clear. We don't smell smoke inside. But if we walk outside, it smells like we're sitting next to a campfire.
Well done. Good is a great company. I will keep using and recommending them.
Since I’ve been using this air purifier, I’ve had very little dust accumulated in my room and the air feels and smells fresh!
